INKA offers carer support and accommodation for children, teenagers and adults with special needs, predominantly autism, through a farm style respite stay.
INKA has council approval for up to 12 visitors at a time, although we like to keep our staff ratio high so we generally have between 6-8 visitors in at a time.
24-hour support with a minimum of 1:3 Personalised support (catering to special dietary requirements, medications, etc.) Return transport from Piney Lakes in Winthrop and Baldivis to and from INKA Respite Gender-separate accommodation with a maximum of 2 visitors per room Separate outbuilding accommodation for high functioning adult visitors Several recreational activities for our visitors Community outings to Bunbury, Harvey, Waroona, Preston Beach and Mandurah Short to long term accommodation
We offer a wide range of activities for our visitors including bushwalking, basic cooking and life skills, feeding and watering animals, attending to the vegetable garden, we also have quad bike riding with the permission of the parent/carer. Whilst we encourage our visitors to participate in these activities, we respect their choices, like and dislikes as individuals. These activities help to improve the overall wellbeing of our visitors in terms of social, work and health skills.
